ISKENDER AND HIS TROOPS BY THE GROSSING OVER THE SYR-DARYA

On this small miniature we see Iskender (Alexander the Great) deep in thought sitting on the slope of the Syr-Darya. Great Commander is without his suite with the only one man. Below them there are two stone-cutters working at a cliff, probably they should built a passage over the river. These characters the author took from the manuscript of Navoi (1521-1522) where there is Farhad. It says that the Sheibanid miniaturist knows the manuscript of Navoi or maybe uses the same patterns for work.
