Iskender on a hunt. Nizami. Hamsa. MS SPL, PNS 66, f. 372. 1648. Bukhara

Composition consists of four men riding the horses. Looking at the miniature you feel dynamics of this scene.
Lines of the men and wounded animals repeat outlines of the background. Impression of the movement is added by the text. The text is read from right to left, so the same is the movement of the young man killing the lion by a spear.
The author is careful with all details: the patterns on the turban, embroidered boots of the hunters, curls of the waves, etc. Peculiar feature of this miniaturist is white thin line over the dark tone, e.g. folds of clothes.
